OST 2 contains music from the second season of Utena(episodes 14 - 25). This is mainly music used the Kuro Bara Hen(Dark Rose Arc - that bit with Mikage and Mamiya). There are some tracks which are used in later epidoes however. If OST1 was my favorite Utena album in terms of arrangement(the CD tracks are arranged in a beautiful way that almost tells a story if you listen to it from beginning to end), then OST2 would be my second favorite. It's not as well arranged as OST1, however, all of the music on this CD is spectacular. If you're having trouble downloading by just clicking on the links, try this. Virtual Star Hasseigaku This is the second ending theme of Utena, as well as the song of Saionji's third duel in episode 25. This piece grew on me over time - I didn't really like it at first. It sounds very much like a duel piece. If you would like to listen to other versions of this song, go here. 2. Fujingekiron Gattaijutsu Kanoe's duel theme. This is played in episode 14, when Utena duels the first of the Black Rose Duellists. I like this piece, but like all the Black Rose Duels, it's very short. I don't know why they decided to make the Black Rose Duels so short x.x Oh well. 3. Kakuu Kakokei Majinai Kozue's Duel from episode 15. This isn't my favorite duel theme, but it's okay. The "3, 2, 1, 0 TAKE OFF!" still cracks me up though. Kozue's kinda bitchy >.> Everyone hates Shiori, but no one seems to mind Kozue...I don't get that. Shiori doesn't -mean- to be cruel, she thinks she's being taken advantage of. Kozue does what she does out of pure malice. 4. Chikyuu wa Jinbutsu Chinretsushitsu My favorite(tied with Wakaba's) Black Rose Duel song. This is Shiori's duel from episode 17. It's a totally rockin' song. Even if you don't like Shiori, you should DL this song. And if you don't like Shiori, you should learn to understand people better >E 5. Ensuikei Zettairan Algebra This is Tsuwabuki's duel song from episode 18. It's neither here nor there for me x.x It's alright, just not very catchy. 6. Senjuku Nenrei Toumeiki Keiko's duel theme from episode 21. Not a huge fan of this one >.o The "Vanish! Fade Away! Melt away!" bit just sounds kinda funny. 7. Gentouchouga Juuroku Seiki Probably the saddest duel theme of theme of them all. This is Wakaba's duel theme from episode 20. This is the only "slow" duel theme, and the duel just makes you want to cry. It's very dramatic, and you can't help but feel horrible for Wakaba. Of all the characters in Utena, she is offered no escape from the life she has. 8. Rinbu Revolution [TV Size] The opening of Utena again ^^ This is the version you hear when you see the show - the shortened, TV size version. If you would like to listen to other versions of this song, go here. 9. Shi no Aphrodite: Tsuioku A slower, more piano-y version of track fifteen from OST1. This is usually played during flashback scenes or contemplative scenes. This is a very sad sounding piece. 10. Hitotoki no Jouryuu This is a...really odd remix of the Prelude(track one) from OST1. It sounds kinda like it's being played on steel drums. 11. Houkago no Shoujo-tachi I'm sorry x.x I really can't remember where this piece was played. Sounds like lounge music. Saxophone/jazz type music. 12. Panorama Ranman Goof off music. This is Nanami-esque music. Usually played when she or one of the other characters are doing a comedy bit. Kinda sounds like circus music. In fact, I think Ikuhara-sama stole it from SMSS when he finished directing that >.> 13. Chinkonkyoku Slow, organ music. Sounds like demented wedding music >.> Sorry, I totally can't remember what scene this is played in. Very recognizable, Kuro Bara music though. I think it's played in some of Mikage's scenes. 14. Dona Dona Played in the Nanami cow episode XD This is the song you hear playing the background during her cow dreams. Yes. You know it. 15. Hitomi no Naka no Yokan A slow, guitar version of 'Rinbu Revolution'. This is played in Tsuwabuki's duel episode, at the very end, when Nanami looks up at the sky after it stops raining, and she says "It's getting hot." 16. Yumire Miru Saibou A remix of Passionate, track eighteen and the Prelude, track one. I think it's being performed with a cello and violin. 17. Arasou no Jouka e Very groovy, almost techno-y re-duel music. This is played sometime before a duel, like Passionate. 18. Nagusami no Kyoushuu Very slow, sad music - mainly saxophone and piano. I think it's played near the end of some of the Kuro Bara episodes, like a sort of "even though the duel is over, not everything is alright." Most specifically, I think it's played at the end of ep 20, Wakaba's duel, when she goes back to her dorm alone. 19. Nemuro Kinenkan The Nemuro Memorial Hall theme!! XD Yes, you know it! This is the music played whenever we're in Nemuro Hall, and played a lot during Mikage's flashback episode. Very nifty harpsichord/violin music. 20. Eien no Himitsu Slow, vaguely haunted Nemuro Hall music. Pretty much all harpsichord. This is also played a lot in Mikage's flashbacks, to when he had the one hundred students. 21. Kokuhaku Shoukoushitsu - Kuusou no Warui Mushi This track has two pieces of music on it. The first is the music played when the unfortunate student of the episode is descending in Nemuro Hall's mind twisting elevator. Creepy singing guys "Eeehh"ing in the background of this music. The second part is very haunting synthesizor music. This is also Nemuro Hall music, which is also played in Mikage's flashbacks. It's very faint, and rather creepy. 22. Mitsu no Naifu "Deeper...go deeper." This is the music played when the elevator has descended to the deepest level it can reach - where Mikage gives the new duellist their ring. 23. Gougai Shoujo (Saru) C-ko's music! ^^ This starts out with the very dramatic music of when Utena finds a challenge in her locker, then goes on to the goofy music played while C-ko performs her little skit against the glass rose archway. 24. Shi no Butou This is highly tense, dramatic music. It is played when Utena gets to the top of the Duel Arena only to find Wakaba her challenger. It's played in that bit where Utena is staring in shock at Wakaba, and Anshii is telling her to draw the sword. 25. ZUM (Banyuu Inryoku) A remix of 'Zettai Unmei Mokushiroku'. ^^ This is the version of it played in the third season, when Utena uses the "gondala"(or, you know...elevator) to get to the Duel Arena. "Hai, Oniisama." You know, all that good stuff. 27. Truth [TV Size] The TV size version of Truth ^^ This is the shortened version they play when airing the show.
